Description

"First Light" is evocative in both look and feel of a southwestern landscape. The crystals of phenylethylamine, which is found in chocolate, were grown by evaporation on a glass microscope slide, then photographed through a microscope. The crystals create the colors by the refraction of light passing through the prism-like crystalline array.
