Description

"Interlude" is a photograph that captures the color, depth, and complexity of pattern in a way that is reminiscent of abstract expressionist artwork. The crystals are formed by the evaporation of a solution on a glass microscope slide and are then photographed under a microscope. The prism-like arrangement of the crystals creates the color by the refraction of the transmitted light.
