Description

"Once in a Blue Moon" would be a striking addition to any space with its contrasting color and form.  Phenylethylamine crystals, a substance found in chocolate, and lactic acid, which is found in wine were co-crystallized then photographed through a microscope. The crystals create the colors by the refraction as it passes through the prism-like crystalline patterns.
