"FLOW" -Photograph of crystalline acetaminophen

Broad ribbons of turquoise and blue sweep through pink, gold, and green in Flow, suggesting currents moving through an imagined landscape. Fine textures and winding contours draw the eye across the image, giving solid crystal forms an unexpected sense of fluid motion.

Created from acetaminophen crystals grown in my studio and photographed through a polarized-light microscope, Flow reveals extraordinary beauty within a familiar substance. Its luminous colors arise from the interaction of polarized light with the crystalline structure. Each formation assembles naturally and cannot be reproduced.
