Description

"Vignette" is a photograph of tartaric acid crystals taken through the microscope. Tartaric acid crystals form this quiet, refined composition. Often found growing on the corks of wine bottles on storage, they are referred to as "wine diamonds." The crystal facets create the colors by refraction of the transmitted light.
